Sandra A. Ho,58, Of Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Sandra Ho, a resident of Ridgewood, died Saturday, June 25. She was 58.

Born May 10, 1958, she was the daughter of Man Jan and Doris Eng.

After graduating from Francis Lewis High School and later Queens College, she then married her high school sweetheart, best friend and soul mate David Ho, June 25, 1983.

They started their lives together in New York City. She worked for IBM as a marketing administrator and would later go on to perform the most important job of her life as full-time mother to her three children, Caitlin, Samantha and Scott.

When her family moved from New York to Homewood, Ill., she immediately integrated into the community. She was a recognized community leader who was active in her neighborhood. She was an involved PTA parent and guided her children through school and countless extracurricular activities.

After 12 years, she moved back to the East Coast with her family. In Ridgewood, she became involved in supporting many activities, including Ridgewood High School theater, Jamboree, Asian fest, tennis, Asian basketball tourneys and the women’s ministry at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband David; children Caitlin, Samantha and Scott; mother Doris Eng; brothers Michael and Cathy Eng, Ronald Eng and Erica Chong; father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Sui-Ying Ho; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Nina Ho and Barry Brodsky, Rose Ho and Peter Hicks, Edward and Anna Ho; nieces and nephews, Christy and Mike Schumann, Amelia and Nolan Eng, Jessica and Megan Ho, Ariel Brodsky and Lucas Hicks; and many other family members.

Flowers can be sent to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 155 Linwood Ave., Ridgewood, NJ 07450 for the visitation Thursday and memorial service Friday. 

The Sandy Ho Memorial Fund has been established at Bethlehem Lutheran Church for those wishing to contribute (please write checks to Bethlehem Lutheran Church and note “Sandy Ho’s Memorial Fund” in the memo). Donations will go toward supporting a range of ministries and service activities at the church.
